Vimetco Extrusion announces the successful completion of its recent project for the installation and start-up of the third Extrusion Press in Slatina.
The new line with a revamped 1,650 Mt Farrell press and new peripherals was started up in March and reached 3-shift operation in mid-May.

The Press uses a 6 inch billet and has a continuous billet furnace and log shear to optimize billet length and reduce scrap. The press is intended for production of customer profiles for the Architectural and industrial sectors. This press, with a maximum circumscribing circle of 180mm and a minimum weight per meter of 70 grams has great versatility and will greatly contribute to Vimetco Extrusion’s range of capabilities.
