Israel’s Ambassador to Romania visited ALRO

Slatina, 29 October 2021 – ALRO S.A. (BVB: ALR, “the Company” or “ALRO”), one of the largest vertically integrated aluminium producers in Europe, measured by production capacity, had as a guest during this week Israel’s Ambassador to Romania, His Excellency, Mr. David SARANGA.

Gheorghe DOBRA, CEO, ALRO, presented the industrial platform’s characteristics, the production process, and the Company’s products.Israel's Ambassador inquired about the existing cooperation between ALRO and companies from the country he represents, finding numerous common points of interest that allow an even more robust collaboration in the future.

ALRO invested more than USD 700 million in the nearly 20 years since its privatization: implementing state-of-the-art technology in multiple energy-intensive processes, significantly reducing electricity consumption, production of recycled aluminium, and reducing the Company's environmental footprint. At the same time, these investments have allowed the manufacturing of high and very high value-added aluminum products, which made ALRO one of the exclusive club members of the global manufacturers for the aeronautical industry.

His Excellency, Mr. David SARANGA, Ambassador of the State of Israel to Romania, appreciated the extremely high potential for cooperation between ALRO and the companies from his country in using aluminum and processed aluminum products manufactured in Slatina within Israel’s industry.
