ALRO S.A. is a listed joint-stock company established in 1961 in Romania. ALRO is part of an integrated group that produces aluminium, which covers the entire technological process, from bauxite to obtaining processed products.

ALRO is one of the largest vertically integrated aluminium producers in Europe by production capacity and its shares are traded on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, Regulated Market since October 1997 under the symbol "ALR", Premium category.

ALRO is one of Romania’s largest companies with an important contribution to the local and national economic development.

ALRO is subsidiary of Vimetco PLC, a global, vertically-integrated primary and processed aluminium producer, which has operations in Romania and China.

ALRO's aluminium facilities are located in Slatina and currently comprise a smelter and processing facilities, including a cast house, hot and cold rolling mills, an Eco-recycling facility and an extrusion shop. The company is also owner of Alum S.A., an alumina refinery based in Tulcea.
