Current report: Anti-dumping tariffs claim

 The Company ALRO S.A. announces the investors and the interested public that, regarding the petition for establishing antidumping tariffs for certain aluminium products originating from 18 countries, including Romania, received by the US International Committee of Commerce, the preliminary decision of the Department of Commerce is to impose antidumping tariffs in a range between 1.24 % and 352.71 % against the targeted producers.

The petition was filed by the US Aluminium Association and refers to aluminium sheets of 0.2 mm to 6.3 mm in thickness, made of common alloys (1xxx, 3xxx and 5xxx series).

As regards the sheets products of Romanian origin, manufactured by Alro S.A., as a result of the firm position taken and additional arguments presented by the Company, the US Department of Commerce announced their position on the final calculation of the antidumping tariff, revising their initial position and reducing this tariff from 83.94% to 37.26%. 

The Company continues to consider the petition as unfounded and intends to vigorously defend its position in front of the relevant American authorities.
