Slatina, 24 July 2014 – Following the press information on the coordinated actions of the Prosecutor’s Office and the Police, which regard fighting the tax evasion at a group of companies activating in the field of ferrous alloys, whose clients include, among others, our Company, Alro SA (BSE: ALR, ‘Alro’, ‘the Company’), one of the largest aluminium producers in Central and Eastern Europe, informs the market and the interested parties that it rigorously applies the rules of corporate governance and fully enforces the application of the Code of Professional Ethics by all its personnel.

The Code of Professional Ethics of the personnel within Alro S.A. outlines the set of rules on the ethical business conduct and the way to prevent illegal and unlawful actions which might arise within the Company in the course of its business. The Code has a compulsory character and is applied in all the organization structures of Alro S.A. All the employees of the Company have to comply with the letter and spirit of these regulations.

Therefore, Alro S.A. fully cooperates with all relevant authorities in their actions to verify the law enforcement within the activities developed by both the Company and the entities with which it is engaged in trade relations in the course of its business. The Company strongly affirms that there is no accusation against itself or against members of the management in the alleged case of tax evasion, as the persons who are connected to the investigated transactions are witnesses in this case.
