Commenting on the results, Christian Wuest, President of Alro Slatina, said:

“Alro’s financial results for the first half of this year demonstrate that we are delivering our strategy to develop the business through increasing production capacity and emphasising of value-added aluminium products to meet the increasing demand for these products.”

“We benefited from continued strong demand for aluminium. In the first half of this year, the international market continued its positive development, with LME prices around USD 2800 per tonne, as compared to an average of USD 2500-2600 per ton, in the same period of last year”, said Wuest.
