Alro concluded the negotiations for electricity price

  • Hidroelectrica will supply three TWh/year to the aluminium producer until 2018
  • The long term contract offers predictability and contributes to the implementation of the Group’s development strategy for Romania

Slatina, 13th August 2012 - Alro SA, (BSE: ALR), the biggest aluminium producer in Central and Eastern Europe, concluded negotiations with Hidroelectrica for the electricity supply of three TWh/year until 2018 and signed the addendum to the contract with the electricity producer. Alro is using the entire quantity of energy for the production process and for the current activity of the Group in Romania.

As a result of negotiations, the two parties agreed on a formula for the electricity price, based on a series of factors, including the aluminium price at the London Metal Exchange and the OPCOM market.
